Product introduction:

HSA-6280 is a binder for diaphragms, with water as the solvent and the main active ingredient being acrylic ester emulsion. It can replace the traditional PVDF coating method and reduce material costs. The specially designed cross-linked core-shell structure provides adhesion at room temperature and pressure, while providing sufficient adhesion, maintaining the required strength and shape, and preventing the loss of air permeability due to pore clogging. The shell Tg design perfectly resolves the adhesion between the diaphragm adhesive and the base membrane, there is no powder shedding after coating, and the pole pieces are successfully compressed and bonded at room temperature, with a peel strength equivalent to that of hot-pressed PVDF. It has excellent electrolyte resistance and low swelling rate.

Application areas:

  • It is mainly used for coating membranes in power batteries.

Market Status:

  • Conventional PVDF membrane products are expensive, and the expansion of fluorine products is limited.

  • Traditional PVDF uses R142b as raw material, which is a core material of the Paris Agreement.

  • PVDF substitutes for diaphragms generally lack heat and pressure adhesion and suffer from significant electrolyte swelling.

Solution trends:

  • Ensures adhesion between the ceramic layer and the pole piece after hot pressing after battery manufacturing.

  • To ensure the adhesion between the ceramic layer and the pole pieces after the battery is baked.

  • Ensure overall air permeability after coating.

  • The electrolyte swelling resistance is equivalent to that of PVDF products.

  • Good applicability to roll coating method.
