Product introduction
HCA-8560 is a polypropylene acid ester-based latex and binder for negative electrodes. This product contains polar groups such as carboxyl, cyano and phenyl rings, providing excellent adhesion, stiffness and high cross-linking degree.
This allows it to achieve strong adhesion while suppressing thermal expansion of the volume. In addition, the introduction of long chains gives it high flexibility, making it easier to wind the pole pieces. This replaces the "softening" effect of negative pole pieces using SBR, and it is more flexible than pure PAA pole pieces. In addition, it has a high thermal diffusion coefficient, low viscosity, and is easy to process. It also has excellent electrolyte resistance and stable electrochemical performance. At present, stable mass production has been achieved and it is supplied to many lithium-ion battery manufacturers.
Application areas
It is mainly used for the negative and positive electrodes of power batteries.
Current market situation
PAA adhesives are expensive and the adhesive layer they form is hard, making them unsuitable for winding pole pieces.
SBR adhesives must be used in conjunction with CMC, which is expensive and has strict processing conditions.
